S.B.M
S.B.M is a feminist activist and a champion in Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) for women and girls in all diversities. She is in charge of YWLI’s strategic thinking, planning, resource mobilization and overseeing the successful implementation of YWLI’s mission. She has a wealth of experience in young feminist organizing, movement building, and campaign and policy advocacy on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), she is a driving force in the pursuit of gender equality. Her motivation is to foster communities where women and girls of all diversities are respected and treated with dignity. S.B.M's expertise has been instrumental in empowering the next generation of young feminist leaders. During her leisure hours, she enjoys collecting plants and nurturing her plant collection, making her a passionate plant enthusiast
B.H
B.H is an artist, activist and healer. Their writing and photography explores African queerness, bodies and mental health. B.H runs HeART Out Kenya- a healing justice organization using art therapy to promote mental wellness among queer activists and feminists. They're a 2022 Human Rights Defenders Award Laureate. B.H believes in Queer Joy and radical love as a form of resistance.
O.M
O.M, a queer feminist and Advocate of the High Court of Kenya, is currently a Program Officer at the National Gay and Lesbian Human Rights Commission. She employs her expertise to protect LGBTQ+ rights through Community Legal Education, Legal Aid, and advocacy for legal reforms. With seven years of experience in the protection of Sexual and Gender Minorities, Masafu has conducted significant research on access to justice and inclusive rights. She is a visiting guest lecturer at Summer School on SOGI and International Law.She is also a certified professional mediator, focusing on alternative dispute resolution to support queer, intersex, and trans Kenyans. Previously, she contributed to drafting state policies and legislative bills at the State Law Office and Department of Justice. O.M holds a Bachelor of Law Degree, a Postgraduate Diploma in Law, certifications and mediation accreditations, underscoring her dedication to advancing justice for LGBTQ+ Kenyans
